Canyons and Caves of Toro Toro National Park

Day 1. Cochabamba / Toro Toro
We leave Cochabamba in the morning, heading to Toro Toro (4.5-hour trip approx.). We will pass through the colonial town of Tarata and we will take a short tour of the center and then continue the trip. We arrive at Toro Toro at noon, we settle in the accommodation where we enjoy a delicious lunch. In the afternoon, we walk to 7 Vueltas to see marine fossils and spectacular views of the town of Toro Toro and surroundings.

Day 2. Toro Toro
In the morning, we head to the Umajalanta cavern and take an exciting tour of the cavern (approx. 2 hours). After lunch, we leave for the city of Itas (stone city) by vehicle (approx. 11 km). In the afternoon we will take a fun walk through the impressive stone formations (canyons, caverns) of the city of Itas.

NOTE: If the client does not feel comfortable with entering the cave, this activity can be changed for another. Please ask the guide.
Day 3. Toro Toro / Cochabamba
In the morning we will visit the fossilized dinosaur footprints on the Huayllas hill, then we will walk to the viewpoint of red-fronted macaws (an endangered species of parrots). We go down to the Vergel (waterfall) where we will have a snack and we can bathe in the river (bring a bathing suit, sandals and a towel). We return to the village and have lunch. After lunch we will return to the city of Cochabamba.
